Ledbury Activities in and around

 The Surrounding Area

Beautiful scenery, that "get away from it all" feeling - take a pin and stick it in a map anywhere around Ledbury and be delighted by the views of the countryside.  Little tucked away churches, rural scenery, the smell and magical sight of apple blossom -its all here.

Visit Dymock and Kempley when the bluebells and daffodils are in bloom, take afternoon tea on a Daffodil Walk - Walk along the Malvern Hills and stand on the top of the British Camp and survey the landscape as an ancient Briton. Take yourself back in time to where William Langland 1332-1400? wrote his immortal lines in Piers Plowman after supposedly falling asleep on the Malvern Hills

With hym ther was a PLOWMAN, was his brother,
That hadde ylad of dong ful many a fother;
A trewe swynkere and a good was he,
Lyvynge in pees and parfit charitee.
(General Prologue, I.529-32)

Hopmania - We're developing new ways of helping the hop farming community to expand into new products. Our products are made from English hops grown in the main hop growing regions of Kent, Herefordshire and the Home Counties. Hops have traditionally been used in brewing, but we are developing new ways of using this age-old product to meet modern needs

Little Verzons Fruit Farm

Julie and Peter Viner have been the proprietors of Little Verzons Fruit Farm for more than ten years. In that time the farm has developed from selling some ready picked fruit out of the back of a horsebox to providing a full coffee shop, nursery and gift shop.

The farm is located on the road to Hereford approximately 3 miles outside of Ledbury. Little Verzons is open seven days a week.
Recently improvements to the farm has seen a doubling of the size of the shop plus more areas for plant display. The range of items is continually being expanded. Peter and Julie offer a friendly personal service and are pleased to welcome new customers and to welcome back their many regulars.
